"You didn't think we would pull it off, did you?" said Surprise manager Darryl Kennedy in the clubhouse after his team earned a 5-0 win over Mesa in the finals of the 2023 Arizona Fall League tournament.
"Look," he said, "it doesn't matter what the outsiders thought. This club believed in themselves. They proved it all year long heading into this tournament. I can't imagine a better group to celebrate with."
