Hall Hits in 20 Straight Games Monday, August 16th , 1999 With 4 hits at Williston Park, Bill Hall added another game to his hitting streak -- the Williston second baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Water Wolves, as they fell, 4-2, to the Minot Jets. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Minot manager said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Bill Hall singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Hall has compiled a .349 batting average and a .401 on-base percentage, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 24 runs. |
