Red Wings Flatten RailRiders, 11-1
|
Rochester starter A.J. Bentley kept the Scranton WB hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 11-1. Bentley went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-3. The Red Wings are now 19-22, while the RailRiders fall to 14-26.
The Red Wings got a big hit from right fielder Josh Smith. In the bottom of the seventh, Smith pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 3rd double of the season put the Red Wings ahead, 10-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Smith said. "We did a good job of that today."
