The Buffalo Bisons topped the Charlotte Knights, 6-3, in International League action at BB&T Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Buffalo pitcher and Orland Park, Illinois, native Dwight Hanson. Michael Broadway earned the save, his 10th, for the Bisons. Buffalo now owns a record of 30-33.

Henry Powell tagged a home run off Ed Brown in the top of the first. His 2-run blast put the Bisons on top, 2-0. In all, Powell had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Buffalo manager Mike Sarbaugh.
