Red Wings Prevail, 2-1, Over Indianapolis

The Rochester Red Wings had to overcome a fine performance from Indianapolis pitcher Hogan Harris to grab a 2-1 win at Frontier Field. Harris allowed 2 runs over 6.2 innings. Rochester pitcher Don Harris got the win. He's now 3-0. Hogan Harris was tagged with the loss. Julián Rivera, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.
Had Brandon Marsh not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Marsh hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Red Wings.
"The old adage is true," said Marsh. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
Rochester is now 31-35.
