Martínez Leads Bisons to 5-2 Win Over RailRiders
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Scranton WB RailRiders by a score of 5-2. Buffalo designated hitter Javier Martínez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Martínez went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Bisons. The win belongs to Tadaaki Otsuka in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Thomas Stewart took the loss for Scranton WB. Hideaki Hirose earned the save for Buffalo, his 2nd of the year.

Martínez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Thomas Stewart, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Bisons a 5-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Martínez.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Buffalo skipper Mike Sarbaugh.

Buffalo is now 39-49, Scranton WB 33-52.
