Red Wings Come Up Short at Scranton WB, 4-3
The home crowd had a good time watching the Rochester Red Wings and Scranton WB RailRiders get after it.

The Scranton WB RailRiders beat the Rochester Red Wings by a score of 4-3. Scranton WB designated hitter Clark Martin deserved the lion's share of the credit. Martin went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles for the RailRiders. Jon Wells earned save number 1 this season.

Scranton WB took a 4-2 lead on Martin's 14th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Don Baker in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Scranton WB to the win.

Rochester manager Buddy Bailey said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The RailRiders raised their record to 36-53.
