Getting offensive support from Dave Harrington, the Buffalo Bisons topped the Syracuse Chiefs, 10-0. Harrington went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bisons. Scott Clark, the winner, improved to 7-10. He held Syracuse to no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Vance Worley earned the save for Buffalo, his 3rd of the year.
With Buffalo leading 7-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Harrington came up to bat against Syracuse pitcher Lance Klos. Harrington hit a fastball to left for a bases-clearing double. His 12th double of the season put the Bisons on top, 10-0.
"We had a nice day," said Buffalo skipper Mike Sarbaugh.
After today's action, Buffalo sits at 41-61, while Syracuse falls to 53-49.
