The Indianapolis Indians topped the Pawtucket Red Sox by the score of 3-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Jordan Groshans. Groshans went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk for the Indians on the day. Scotty Gilkey earned the save, his 2nd. The win gives Indianapolis a record of 2-2.
Charlie Brewer, the Indianapolis center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 1-0, Indians. For the game, Brewer was 1 for 4.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Groshans said after the game.
