Syracuse Loses Again, 4-3
|
Pawtucket rode a decent outing from starter David Miller to victory over the Syracuse Chiefs. The final score was 4-3. P.J. Desjardien, credited with the win, is now 6-6. He allowed no runs on no hits. Kyle Murphy got the save, his 25th in 29 chances.
Had Jonathan Erceg not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Erceg hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Red Sox.
"I like the roll we're on," said Pawtucket manager Pete Rose Jr..
Syracuse, at 56-59, has lost 8 straight.
