A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Columbus Clippers and Durham Bulls.

Columbus starter Jack Lamb had a strong outing against the Durham Bulls at Huntington Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 8-1 win. Lamb went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-9.

The Clippers got an important contribution from third baseman Nick Brandon, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a full count fastball into center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Clippers ahead, 7-1.
