IronPigs Win, 2-1, at Indianapolis
|
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs got a magnificent performance from pitcher Kelly Koch, who stifled the Indianapolis offense en route to a 2-1 IronPigs win at Victory Field. Indianapolis, with the loss, is 3-3.
Lehigh Valley used a well-timed hit by Marty Deeks to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the IronPigs ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It feels good to get this one," Koch told the Lehigh Valley Gazette.
