Buffalo starter Tim Barnes pitched well against the Syracuse Chiefs at NBT Bank Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Earning his 2nd save for Buffalo was Scott Alexander. The Bisons' win now puts them at 51-78.

In the top of the third, Ryan Gennett hit a run-scoring double. The 16th double of the season for the Buffalo third baseman put the Bisons on top, 1-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Gennett.
