Stripers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Gwinnett turned a good effort from starter Tahnaj Thomas into a win over the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field. The final score was 3-2. The loss has the Red Wings at 5-3.
Matt Wallner, the 26-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wallner contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 17th inning to put Gwinnett up, 3-2.
"Tahnaj is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Gwinnett manager Alfredo Simon.
