Chiefs Prevail, 5-3, Over Buffalo

Donald Robinson had a good game, but he could not keep the Buffalo Bisons from falling, 5-3, to the Syracuse Chiefs at NBT Bank Stadium. The Buffalo second baseman was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. Adrián Villanueva, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Ethan West picked up the save, his 2nd.
John Lane drove in one run for Syracuse. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Seth Corry. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
In comments to the Syracuse News, Lane insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
The win gives Syracuse a record of 4-4.
