Red Wings Fall Short, 3-2, at Lehigh Valley
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs did just enough to sneak past the Rochester Red Wings, 3-2, at Coca-Cola Park. Lehigh Valley pitcher Dan Allen, in particular, had a standout performance. Allen picked up the win for Lehigh Valley, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Picking up the save was Jacob Wallace, his 1st.

Lehigh Valley grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Garrett Schlecht delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the IronPigs.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Schlecht told the Lehigh Valley Gazette.
