Red Wings Rally For 3-1 Win
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Rochester Red Wings and the Buffalo Bisons. Rochester won it, 3-1. Rochester starter Scott Ames was in command. The winner was Kevin Aylward in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Scott Clark took the loss. The loss makes Buffalo 9-6.
Cole Kendall, the 23-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kendall contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Rochester up, 2-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kendall told the Rochester Today.
