Baker Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, April 16th, 2020 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jack Baker. The Durham Bulls first baseman tore up the Columbus Clippers to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Durham Bulls Athletic Park today. The offensive onslaught from Baker powered the Bulls to a 7-2 win. "Baker was a tough out today," Columbus manager Wally Backman said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jack Baker hit a three-run home run off Júlio Rosado in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
