IL Selects Thomas August's #1 Pitcher Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 There's something about a young rookie winning the International League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Jacob Thomas, a 26-year-old starter for the Durham Bulls. In August, he topped off the month with a 7-0 mark and 1.83 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 39.1 innings, fanned 25 and held opposing teams to a .225 average. Currently Thomas has a record of 8-3 with 58 strikeouts and 15 walks in 75.1 innings and a 2.39 ERA. |
