Reds Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
Monday, September 11th, 2028
Even the most die-hard fans of the Cincinnati Reds will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

"We're disappointed," said Reds catcher Justin Cooke. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year."

The Reds have missed the playoffs 142 times in their 157 years as a Major League Simulation Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 15th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2012. Cincinnati last won the World Series in 1990.
