2027 Season Set for Exciting Finish

Just 4 games remain in the 2027 CBA season. We’ve seen champions crowned and teams fates sealed. So, with the final week of the season kicking off tonight, what do we know?

Premier League

Things couldn’t be much closer in the PL. The Dallas Devils and Detroit Motors are tied atop the standings heading in to the last 4 games. The teams will meet for a huge 2 game series starting tonight in the Motor City. The Devils currently hold a 7-5 advantage in the head to head series, which could be a determining factor at the end of this week. Not only is the PL title up for grabs but there’s quite a battle underway for the top 4 spots in the PL, and entry to this season’s Tournament of Champions. The Cincinnati Royals are currently third in the PL, a game behind Dallas and Detroit. The Arizona Thunderbirds are 4th, just 2 games back. The DC Eagles sit 5th, 3 games back. And don’t count out the LA Chilis, who are in 6th, but 5 games back. 6 teams fighting for just 4 places in the Tournament of Champions, it’s going to be an exciting conclusion to the season.

At the other end of the PL standings, the inaugural CBA Champions, the Chicago Gale, will see their impressive run in the PL end as they have been relegated to the Silver League. Joining them in the SL in 2028 will be either the Denver Wolves or the Miami Warriors. Homefield advantage is still up for grabs in that series but we will see those two teams battle it out in a 3 game series to stay in the PL. The 2 teams meet tonight in Colorado, and will see each other later in the week to determine their fate for next season.

Silver League

The Pandas have done it. The process in the Bay Area has finally come full circle as the Pandas have clinched promotion to the Premier League. The Midwest Plainsmen look to return to the Premier League as they have clinched a place in the promotion playoff, and are close to clinching homefield. Another former PL team, the Sacramento Golden Bears, have the inside track at playing the Plainsmen in the promotion series. The Bears are 3 games up on both Brooklyn and Mexico City with just 4 games remaining. The Bulldogs and Chupacabras have locked up spots in next season’s President’s Cup for finishing top 5 in the SL.

At the bottom of the Silver League, New York and Portland are still fighting to avoid 10th place and automatic regulation to the Bronze League. The Roar are currently 2 games up on the Axemen for 9th place and whoever can avoid the automatic drop will take on the Oklahoma Mammoths in the relegation series.

Bronze League

The young stars in Indianapolis have begun to blossom as the Hawks ran away with the Bronze League this season and clinched a place in the Silver League in 2028. Looking to join them in moving up are the Wichita Weasels and Boston Rogers. Boston needs just 1 win or 1 Philadelphia loss to see off the Liberty and officially book their place in the promotion series against the Weasels.

Austin and San Diego have sunk to the bottom of the league with the Outlaws all but locking up next year’s #1 pick and a chance at junior college superstar Brett Sisti.
